It was great to meet and speak to an aspiring cohort of students on various programmes at the Postgraduate Exhibition opening organised by De Montfort University.

There was some really innovative work on display focusing on sustainability and having spoken to some of the students it was refreshing to discuss their work and share their vision of fashion going forward encompassing recycling, sustainability and longevity that will help produce quality clothing designed to reduce environmental impact.

The students are keen to engage with the local industry and share their ideas. At ATMF we encourage our members to get in touch with us or with DMU directly to see how this relationship can be of mutual benefit.

DMU’s School of Fashion and Textiles postgraduate programmes are currently showcasing a range of this innovative student work between Feb 20-26th in the Main Gallery (ground floor of the Vijay Patel building). Please do join them to celebrate this diverse and exciting exhibition. The gallery opening times are 12-5pm.
