It has been a hectic week of attending events that are helping shape the environmental impact of our behaviour and actions.
Although not directly involved in COP28 UAE, the United Nations Climate Conference, nevertheless it was it was still very important to attend, learn and share the great initiatives that are being developed and implemented. The aim of this global event is to build on previous successes and pave the way for future ambition to effectively tackle the global challenge of climate change.

This trip was also part of a bigger focus on developing relationships with suppliers around the world at the International Apparel & Textile Fair being held at the Dubai World Trade Centre. This was an event bringing together suppliers from all over the world to showcase their manufacturing capabilities. Many conversations focused around supply chain issues and how other countries are adapting to their sustainability and recycling requirements in textiles.

Another very important event was the World Green Economy Summit. Again bringing together world-class experts in critical sectors from around the world to directly focus on advancing the global green economy and climate action agenda, achieving the goals of the Paris Agreement and Agenda 2030. One of the main topics of conversations was the role of public-private partnerships in accelerating transition to green energy.
